Terms of Use
What the family archive is, how it may be used, and what is expected of those who read and edit it.
Last updated: May 2026
These terms describe what the Pryce-Jones Family Archive is, how it may be used, and what is expected of those who read and edit it. By using this site you accept what is set out here.
What this archive is
The Pryce-Jones Family Archive is a collaborative, curated genealogical record of the Pryce-Jones family, of Welsh origin. It works as a family wiki: the history and the tree may be read publicly, while editing is closed and granted by invitation only.
The archive is not a commercial service. It is a non-profit family project dedicated to preserving and sharing the family's history.
Accounts and roles
Editing access is obtained through a request approved by an administrator or by invitation from a relative. There are three roles: administrator, editor and member.
If you hold an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out from your account. Registration and invitation links are personal and single-use.
Acceptable use
In using the archive, you agree to:
- treat the family's information — and especially that of living relatives — with respect and discretion;
- contribute only truthful and verifiable data if you have editing permissions;
- not use the archive to harass, impersonate others, or for purposes unrelated to the family's history;
- not attempt to access private parts of the archive without authorisation.
Accuracy and ongoing research
Genealogy is a work in progress. The archive is assembled with care and does not invent data: where a fact is not confirmed by reliable sources, it is either marked plainly or simply not published.
For this reason, some content may be incomplete or subject to review. The archive is provided "as is", without warranty of absolute accuracy, and is corrected as documented sources come to light.
Living relatives
Living relatives appear on the public side of the archive only with their explicit consent, and may withdraw it at any time. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Content and ownership
The texts, photographs and genealogical data gathered in the archive belong to the Pryce-Jones family and to those who contributed them. The repository is private and published under an "All Rights Reserved" notice.
The archive's content may not be copied, redistributed or reused for commercial purposes without permission.
Limitation of liability
The archive is offered in good faith and with the greatest possible care. Its administrators accept no liability for errors or omissions in the historical data, nor for interruptions of service beyond their control.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the archive evolves. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of the page.
